The imposing Romanesque architectural style built with red bricks
The church was founded at the end of the 4th century by Ambrose, the patron saint of the city. It represents a rare example of intact Romanesque art while inside incredible masterpieces are preserved such as a complete (not damaged) roman sarcophagus and the unique golden altar from the 9th century.
